DJI Announces Mic 3 Wireless Microphone System; Mic 3 System Now in Stock at B&H Photo
The DJI Mic 3 system offers up to four transmitters, double the storage, and up to 10 hours battery life per receiver for enhanced multi-cam audio recording.
DJI announced the Mic 3 wireless microphone system on the morning of August 28, 2025, with U.S. availability through third-party retailers but not via DJI's own store.
The restricted official U.S. sales follow DJI’s turbulent relationship with U.S. authorities, including delayed security audits and longstanding drone ban threats.
Mic 3 improves on Mic 2 by weighing 16g , offering 32GB onboard storage , extended battery life, 400-meter range, and pro features like timecode and multi-camera support.
The two-transmitter-and-one-receiver Mic 3 kit costs $329, with standalone mic units at $99 and a one-transmitter kit at $219, while the receiver has a 1.1" AMOLED touchscreen and dual-band wireless connectivity.
Despite official channel limits, Mic 3’s availability through B&H Photo, Adorama, and Amazon suggests ongoing U.S. market penetration, though DJI states it cannot comment on retailers or future official sales changes.
