Zhang Yi, a dissident from Hubei, was arrested in July while traveling to Tibet with his younger brother Zhang Xuan by car. He was arrested after showing a Tibetan a photo of the Dalai Lama on his phone at Sera Monastery, on suspicion of "inciting separatism." Zhang Yi is currently being held in the Lhasa Detention Center, and authorities have refused him access to his lawyer.
