The second stage (209.1 kilometers long with the start in Lauwin-Planque) of this year's Tour de France started with a delay. This was due to difficult weather conditions and delays of cyclists' buses in traffic jams. A foursome of breakaway riders are in the breakaway, with an advantage of about a minute and a half over the main group, which also includes all Slovenian representatives.
Launched at high speed, the peloton saw several riders fall, just under 100 kilometers from the finish of the 2nd stage of this 6th July. All the riders concerned were able to return.


The 182 riders of the peloton, after the first abandonments on Saturday during the inaugural stage, take the direction of Boulogne-sur-mer, this Sunday with 209.1 km on the programme, the longest stage of this 112th edition of Tour de France 2025 where the victory seems promised to the sprinters... follow the second stage of the Tour en direct.
The day after the big start in Lille, the peloton continues to explore the Hauts-de-France in a raised stage, "where the punch festival of the Tour 2025 will be launched", anticipates the boss of the Grande Boucle, Christian Prudhomme.
This Sunday, the second stage of the Grande Boucle will start from Lauwin-Planque, for the first time in its history, and will arrive in Boulogne-sur-Mer (209.56 km).
