- Chief Public Health Officer Nicola Spurrier confirmed contact tracing is underway after a patient spent more than 24 hours in The Queen Elizabeth Hospital emergency department while infectious.
- Two doses of measles vaccine protect "about 99 per cent of people for life," Professor Spurrier said, urging those born from 1966 onwards to verify their immunisation status.
