The Peruvian Congress filed a complaint against the president, Dina Boluarte, for the dozens of deaths in the protests of 2022 and 2023.
The Permanent Committee of the Congress of the Republic approved this Thursday the final report that proposes to archive the Constitutional complaint 509, filed against the president of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, for the deaths during the social protests that occurred between December 2022 and January 2023.The document was resolved with 12 votes in favor, 10 against and no abstention.
With 12 votes in favour and 10 against, the Standing Committee ratified the report of the Congressional Subcommittee on Constitutional Indictments (SAC). The constitutional complaint against Dina Boluarte was presented with the alleged crimes of aggravated homicide, serious and minor injuries.
