With the new tariff that came into effect on Friday, September 4, 2026, the price of gasoline increased by an average of 2 lira 48 kuruş per liter, and the price of diesel increased by 7 lira 72 kuruş per liter.

The oil market has been engulfed in flames following conflicts in the global energy corridor and attacks on refineries. At midnight, diesel prices rose by 7.72 TL and gasoline by 2.48 TL, and on Friday morning, September 4, 2026, diesel officially crossed the 90 TL mark on gas station signs.

Fuel prices have increased as the US-Iran war and refinery attacks in Russia triggered global oil markets. The price of diesel rose by 7.72 TL and gasoline by 2.48 TL overnight; in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, diesel reached the 90 TL mark and gasoline the 80 TL mark.
