Teen Dies After Accident on Amusement Ride in Mexico

- On Tuesday, Gabriela Rodriguez Tezoco died after falling from The Pendulum carnival ride at the Cabo San Lucas Traditional Festivals in Mexico when her harness lifted during the ride's motion.
- Witnesses reported the ride's harness appeared to lift while in motion, causing Tezoco to slip from her seat and flip in the air before descending to the ground.
- Medics transported Tezoco to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The Baja California Sur College of Baccalaureate Studies released a tribute: "May your smile remain alive in our memory."
- Los Cabos Mayor Christian Agundez ordered safety testing for all festival rides and told Tezoco's family, "It could have been any one of us. You are not alone."
