The Omani co-pilot accused of attacking the captain of a Flydubai flight bound for Israel and attempting to seize control of the aircraft is expected to face the death penalty in the United Arab Emirates, according to a senior Emirati official familiar with the investigation.
The co-pilot of a Flydubai flight to Tel Aviv is suspected of preparing to fly the plane into a skyscraper in Tel Aviv in a similar manner to the New York terrorist attacks. The case is already being investigated by the Mossad and American intelligence agencies. The co-pilot could face the death penalty.
