DGS reports that there are already 43 confirmed cases of hepatitis A in Portugal

The Directorate-General for Health (DGS) reported this Friday that 43 confirmed cases of hepatitis A have already been reported between January 1 and March 18, 2024. The majority of cases are men, aged between 20 and 49 years (37 cases), 37% in the context of sexual transmission, “with no serious cases or deaths reported”, DGS also said in a statement.
