‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 Rotten Tomatoes Score Is Lower Than Season 1, But Reviews Are Still Positive
- On Friday, Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 premiered on Paramount+ with the episode 'Risky Business,' following Dexter Morgan as he navigates a mid-life crisis confronting deadly new threats in New York City.
- Picking up after a three-year time jump, showrunner Clyde Phillips notes Dexter Morgan is physically aging and now faces two distinct killers: the New York Ripper Don Framt and Lucas Stark, a fresh threat terrorizing the city.
- Gabriel Luna plays 'The Sleepy-Eyed Stranger,' a Zodiac-style killer terrorizing New York by phoning threats to police and civilians in advance of killings. Dexter Morgan struggles to identify the unknown assailant amid mounting city panic.
- Dexter Morgan's son, Harrison Morgan, has joined the police academy, a development actor Jack Alcott welcomed as a unique path for the character. Harrison pursues justice through law enforcement differently than his father.
- As the Dexter franchise celebrates its 20-year milestone, the series explores Dexter Morgan's desire for recognition after 35 years of serial killing. He must rely on intellect over brawn to outsmart younger, more physically capable opponents.
