After paying more than $2 billion in fines Deutsche Bank is docking the bonuses of employees who misuse WhatsApp

Deutsche Bank is among several global lenders that have paid fines of more than $2 billion to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to settle an industrywide investigation into whether bank staff made use of unauthorized communication channels.

The decision comes after the banking institution - along with others - paid millions of euros for a failure to monitor the use of unauthorized applications by employees.
