Almost nine months after President Cyril Ramaphosa suspended Dipuo Peters as a deputy minister due to her involvement in state capture, she has reemerged as the newly appointed speaker of the Sol Plaatje Local Municipality council.
Chaos reigned in the Sol Plaatje municipality's council on Thursday when the ANC pushed through its candidates for new mayor and speaker and the EFF and DA once again walked out of the meeting.
