DeRidder named fifth safest city in Louisiana by SafeWise

By Ashlyn Little DeRidder was recently named the fifth safest city in the state of Louisiana by SafeWise, which studies crime data each year to determine the safest cities in each state. DeRidder rose from seventh place in 2025 to fifth in 2026.
