The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday commended the teachers and other poll workers for the commitment and civic spirit they showed throughout the conduct of the Election 2025.

This morning, recognition was given to teachers from the Eighth Section of the National Union of Education Workers who stand out for their years of service. State Secretary of Education Hugo Gutiérrez led the event, giving a message that this day is the framework for paying tribute to those who are examples of work and effort. He pointed out that this day 546 teachers are recognized for their career in education.
