Mumbai recorded an 11.4% rise in malaria cases and a 329.2% jump in H1N1 infections during this monsoon, according to BMC data. Between June 1 and August 15, malaria cases increased to 3,177 while H1N1 reached 309. Dengue, chikungunya, leptospirosis, gastroenteritis and Covid-19 cases declined during the same period, officials said.

Dengue cases top 92,000 as death toll rises to 68
Sri Lanka’s dengue caseload has surpassed 92,000 so far this year, with 92,011 cases and 68 deaths, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.
