Democratic members of US Congress visit Cuba and compare US energy embargo to ‘silent Gaza’

Four Democratic members of the U.S. Congress visited Cuba and described the U.S. energy embargo as turning the island into a 'silent Gaza'.
The U.S. imposed the energy embargo in January after the capture of Venezuela's then-President Nicolás Maduro and threatened tariffs on countries selling fuel to Cuba.
There are no current talks between Washington and Havana about lifting the energy embargo.
Congress member Pocan said that Marco Rubio is making the embargo issue personal, which he disagrees with.
