Death investigation in Pittsburg, body found near radio tower

Pittsburg police are investigating the death of a person found on a City property near a radio signal tower.

On Thursday afternoon, detectives with the Pittsburg Police Department confirmed the identity of a body discovered downtown early Wednesday. According to a news release from the department, the man whose body was found was 27-year-old Tokumatsu K. Platt, of Pittsburg.

On Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at 7:47 a.m., officers with the Pittsburg Police Department along with first responders from the Pittsburg Fire Department and Crawford County EMS, were dispatched to 107 E 1st Street in reference to an unresponsive subject inside the locked fence.
