Raiders Agree to Sign Giants Draft Bust
The Raiders added three veterans after a 16-player workout day, giving roster depth to a team still sorting out needs at wide receiver and line.
On Thursday, the Las Vegas Raiders signed offensive lineman Evan Neal, defensive end Azeez Ojulari, and wide receiver Ronnie Bell to their practice squad following tryouts at their Henderson facility.
The New York Giants released Neal, the seventh overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, last week after injuries and positional shifts prevented him from meeting expectations.
Ojulari, a second-round pick by the Giants in 2021, played for the Philadelphia Eagles last season; Bell previously spent time with the New Orleans Saints.
Raiders officials brought in 16 players for workouts before finalizing the signings and simultaneously released defensive end Jahfari Harvey, offensive tackle Kamar Missouri, and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam from the practice squad.
General manager John Spytek stated the team has "a lot of work to do with a young roster," but expressed excitement about the group ahead of upcoming games.
