Dauphin County is hosting open interview sessions next week for emergency 9-1-1 dispatch positions. The county is trying to streamline the application process during a competitive job market, as it experiences a shortage of applicants. The dispatch team needs to add 18 full-time, and three part-time, staff members. Last year, the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety handled 311,271 dispatch events for police, fire and EMS services.
