- Business advocates warned the tax would effectively hit employers, with one saying `In practice, a tax aimed at individuals would become a new tax on employers, including businesses that may have a strong year on paper, but need the cash to reinvest into their business or weather volatility`.
- It will be presented before the House Finance Committee again on February 27, 2026, and the committee vote scheduled for Friday as House and Senate leadership investigate testimony records.
