Dassault Systèmes Confirms 2026 Outlook, Bets on AI with $1.8 Billion ArisGlobal Deal

- On Thursday, French software maker Dassault Systèmes announced the acquisition of U.S.-based life sciences company ArisGlobal for about $1.8 billion, aiming to deepen its artificial intelligence capabilities.
- Confirming its full-year outlook, Dassault reported second-quarter revenue of 1.56 billion euros, up 4 per cent at constant currencies, driven by growth in subscription and cloud software sales.
- While cloud software revenue in the core industrial business rose 14 per cent, the Life Sciences segment, which includes clinical trials software firm Medidata, saw revenue decline 3 per cent.
- The deal includes up to $200 million in additional payments tied to AI-related revenue targets and is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
- Revenue increased 5 per cent in the Americas and 8 per cent in Asia, balancing the company's global performance as Europe remained flat during the quarter due to automotive sector weakness.
