Dallas Smith hits the road with 51 shows – all unplugged

Later this year, Dallas Smith announced a massive cross-country unplugged tour with 51 dates, starting in early October in Fort St. John, British Columbia, and concluding in Belleville, Ont., on Dec. 14.
The singer framed the project as a first-ever stripped-down, unplugged tour to return focus to songs and stories and create a more personal, intimate show this fall.
After 25 years on the road, Smith noted he has never done an extensive unplugged run like this, targeting smaller communities including Abbotsford, British Columbia and New Westminster, British Columbia, while prepping new music in studio sessions.
Finishing up on stage at Prospera Place, Kelowna, on Saturday, Sept. 13, Smith will finalize plans for his unplugged tour following his performance at the CCMA awards night.
Reflecting on acoustic shows, Smith said `When I think back to acoustic tours, I think of the MTV unplugged and all the great bands that played those` and will tour B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario with Brock Phillips.
