PRAGUE - Czech JAS-39 Gripen fighter jets took off on the orders of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) on Wednesday night to help guard the airspace over Poland. The Czech Army (AČR) announced this on Thursday on the social network X.
On Thursday, the military reported on the social network X that NATO had again activated Czech Gripens at night, which set out from Pardubice to guard the skies over Poland. “Within minutes, they were in the air and heading over Poland,” the military added. This is the second time in the past week that Czech machinery has taken off to help its northern neighbours.

They did not have to intervene, the army said on the X network. The aircraft are already back at the base in Pardubice. The Gripens also took off to protect Polish airspace last Friday.
