The Czech government has prepared a regulation banning the use of mobile phones and electronic devices in kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools. Medical and special education needs will be exempt.

Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Education Minister Robert Plaga (both ANO) are proposing to ban mobile phones in schools. Their proposal, which calls for restrictions for children of preschool age until the end of the 9th grade, will be discussed by the government at a meeting on Monday, July 20.
