Two matches, two nutritious portions of floorball. Despite Saturday's narrow 3:4 loss, the Czech national team showed that it can keep up with the Nordic powerhouse. The game was played fast, hard and in a great atmosphere in the UNYP arena. And even if it wasn't enough to win this time, there is plenty to praise ahead of the upcoming World Games in Chengdu, China.
Czech floorball players defeated Sweden 2:1 in a warm-up match at the UNYP Arena in Prague's Podvinný mlýn, and in their 57th match together, they achieved their fifth victory. The match, played in preparation for the August World Games in China in just 3x15 minutes, was decided by Adam Zubek in a time of 40:10. The rematch will take place at the same venue on Saturday from 4:30 p.m.
