'Malecón', the Spanish film Carlos Larrazábal focused on a young ex-con divided between embracing his harsh reality or leaving in search of a new life outside, will be Cuba's candidate for the 99th Óscar, announced Tuesday the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (Icaic). The entry ‘Malecón’, the first film that Cuba presents to the Oscars in a decade was first published in Digital Process.
The drama is a co-production with Spain and the United States, filmed entirely in Cuba.
