The plenary session of the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) has reported favorably, with conditions and requirements, on the request presented by the public company Enresa to execute and build the temporary radioactive waste storage facility for the Vandellòs I nuclear power plant, in Baix Camp. According to a statement, the plant has been in a dormant phase since 2005, after the completion of the first phase of dismantling.
