The Cruz Azul Cooperative will invest up to 6.5 billion pesos to reactivate its cement plant in Tula de Allende, Hidalgo, in addition to making new investments in medical infrastructure and sports projects in the entity.The announcement was made by Julio Menchaca, governor of Hidalgo, during the morning conference of the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Undersecretary Ximena Escobedo highlighted that this investment will generate 14,000 direct and indirect jobs
Cruz Azul is one of the most recognized brands in Mexico, and although many could relate its history to the football team that bears the same name, the cooperative began long before that.
