Oil prices posted weekly gains on Friday, July 24, 2026, despite a slight dip amid reports that Pakistan and China were seeking ways to restart talks between the United States and Iran. Brent crude futures gained over 7% this week, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also rose by 7%. At settlement, Brent crude futures fell by about $3.91, or 4%, to $96.78 a barrel. WTI crude futures declined by $2.88, or 3.12%, to $89.31 a barrel.
