Ottawa held it's National Night Out event on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026 at Peck Park in Ottawa. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign held on the first Tuesday in August that promotes police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie, and safer living environments.

It’s become a tradition in recent years for Niagara Falls police officers to join local children and teens for a summer relay run as part of an annual National Night Out Youth Development Track and Field event.

Riverhead Police host National Night out celebration: photos

Riverhead Town Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit host the 2026 National Night Out celebration Tuesday evening outside Riverhead Town Hall. The free community event gave residents a chance to meet Riverhead police officers and see K-9 and drone demonstrations, police motorcycles, bikes and an ATV, the department’s command post, SWAT and dive equipment, a police boat and a police car. National nonprofit brings computers, technology education to Newport students

Newport kids will gain opportunities to explore technology through a grant that provides free computers and a STEAM enrichment program for young students.  At this year’s Newport Night Out event, Compudopt, a national nonprofit, was set up to give away 100 computers through a grant it received from TC Energy. The nonprofit works to close the technology gap through free or low-cost internet access, computer distribution and technology education. …
