The thinning that the State Property Board (SFV) carried out of the forest above the mountain border was in fact a disguised logging. This is the opinion of Marie Persson, chairwoman of the Society for Nature Conservation in Norrbotten. She states that when she reported the thinning and high natural values in adjacent areas, those forests had been logged before she received feedback. SFV's position is that everything was done correctly.
