Crews knock down boat fire in Bristol

BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) -- Crews in Bristol battled a boat fire that broke out Sunday afternoon. Fire Chief Michael DeMello said the boat's operator noticed a fire in the engine area and unsuccessfully tried to put it out. The boat was then beached near the Mount Hope Bridge, according to DeMello, and all five people on it got out safely.
