PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Five people were taken to the hospital Tuesday after a crash between a car and a RIPTA bus. The crash happened around 4 p.m. in the area of Charles and Corliss streets. A city spokesperson told 12 News the initial investigation showed the driver of the car failed to yield and then hit the bus, which had 12 students on board at the time.
