In a new note, the institution advocates, for reasons of fairness, the creation of a tax on personal wealth and again calls for a reduction in the tax advantages of the Dutreil pact. Two avenues ruled out at this stage by the Prime Minister, Sébastien Lecornu, before the examination of the budget in Parliament.
"Today, 50% of the wealth belongs to 10% of households", stressed the president of the first chamber of the Court Carine Camby by presenting the main lines of this note to the press. The total wealth of households currently accounts for almost 17,000 billion euros, for a median wealth of 250,000 euros.
