Council to sell two care homes that 'aren't fit for purpose'
The two sites owned by Cornwall Council, Trefula House in St Day and Trengrouse in Helston, are no longer fit for purpose. Cornwall Council cabinet met yesterday (March 22) to discuss the options and agreed to move forward with the plan. Ten potential suppliers have come forward with expressions of interest. Council will now undertake a procurement exercise to appoint a provider to develop the sites.
