First meeting of the new Council of State lasted about 4 hours. Communiqué is more extensive than usual and insists on a better response of the country in case of extreme phenomena, such as storms. It is written that the country must be committed to the protection of critical infrastructures, and must respect international law.
The President of the Republic, António José Seguro, was, this Friday, meeting for the first time with the Council of State. Meeting that happened after the Head of State gave possession to the new members. On the table, note, were topics such as security, civil protection, defense, among others.
These positions are set out in a six-paragraph communiqué issued at the end of the first meeting of the political consultative body of the President of the Republic convened by António José Seguro on security and defence, which lasted about four hours.
