Council approves issuance and sale of Second Street bonds

by Michael Mattison The Winthrop City Council at its regular March meeting approved the issuance and sale of general obligation bonds by a unanimous vote. The project is roughly $9.4 million in cost. Sibley County will be participating at $3.4 million, the City of Winthrop will be using cash from reserves of about $1 million and $5,260,000 will be fininaced through the general obligation bonds.
