- On Monday, June 08, 2026, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners divested minority stakes in the Devilla battery energy storage system project in Kincardine, Scotland, to the Scottish National Investment Bank and the Nuclear Liabilities Fund .
- Devilla is a 500MW, 2-hour-duration lithium-ion battery energy storage system designed to enhance grid stability; CIP retains the majority stake and will continue to lead project delivery through the current construction phase.
- Once commissioned in 2028, the project will be among Europe's largest battery storage facilities, having secured a 10-year optimization agreement with SSE plc and a 15-year capacity market agreement ensuring stable returns.
