The Burundian capital took the red carpet to a delegation from the Burkina Faso government on 12 August 2026. The Minister of Foreign Affairs (MAE) of Burkina Faso was received in audience by the President of the Republic of Burundi. The meeting with Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré aims to energize the first ever Joint Cooperation Commission between the two countries, whose work is in full swing in Bujumbura.
Russia and Burkina Faso will hold the first meeting of their Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Moscow on 16 September.
