As a result of the evolution of the criteria for calculating Nutri-score, the cereals most sold in France by the agri-food giant will see their recipe evolve for the eighth time in 20 years.
Nestlé will reduce sugar and salt in its Chocapic cereals to get a Nutri-Score B with the new algorithm, instead of the current C, proving the interest of this classification, while Danone has chosen to withdraw from the Nutri-Score
Nestlé, to avoid seeing its rating lowered too much by the new Nutri-Score criteria, will again change the recipe for Chocapic, its best-selling cereal in France, which is regularly criticized for being too sweet.
To avoid seeing their rating drop too much under the new Nutri-Score criteria, Chocapic will have to change its recipe. Starting in September, they should be ranked B.
