Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially launched the construction process of a highway between Mostar and the Croatian border with the signing of a contract with contractors today. The road, which will connect Herzegovina with central Dalmatia, is considered one of the most important strategic projects in the entity. The contract is worth just over 51 million euros.
Today, contracts for the construction of the expressway Mostar – Polog – Široki Brijeg – Croatian border were signed at the headquarters of the Public Company Autoceste FBiH in Mostar. This concerns the Polog – Croatian border section and the Polugrno – Podledinac and Podledinac – Grude East sections. The new road will connect to the Croatian road network near Imotski. With its construction, Mostar and most of Herzegovina will be better connected to central Dalmatia and Split.
