In the field near the Dukovany nuclear power plant in the Třebíč region, unusual machines have been attracting attention in recent days. Power engineers are laying three high-voltage lines simultaneously in one pass using a plowing rig. The EG.D company is modernizing power lines for the first time in the Czech Republic.
A special plow, deployed by EG.D, a company from the E.ON group, at Dukovany, can lay three high-voltage cables into the ground at once. The distributor is using the so-called triple-lay for the first time in the Czech Republic. The technology is designed to significantly speed up the work – under ideal conditions, it can lay up to 1,500 meters of lines per day.
