Damien Castelain, President of the European Metropolis of Lille, was sentenced on Tuesday 16 December for "abuse of trust and concealment" and "diversion of public funds". He received 18 months of suspended prison, 20,000 euros in fine and two years of ineligibility with provisional execution.
