- On October 9 Hogan is due back in court after Connecticut State Police charged Kristen Hogan, 33, with two counts of attempted murder; she is held on a $1 million bond.
- Amid a May separation and ongoing custody dispute, the victim told police he believed Hogan would gain full custody and home ownership if he died.
- Doctors at Danbury hospital diagnosed the victim, 34, with ethylene glycol poisoning after he required dialysis following kidney failure on Aug. 10, and a Sept. 30 report confirmed the chemical in the wine.
- Investigators say phone records showed searches for lethal chemicals, and Richard Colangelo said, `There were searches for different chemicals. How much of a certain type of chemical could kill you.` Mark Sherman, Hogan's lawyer, called the allegations premature and defended her.
- Neighbors in Ridgefield said they were stunned by the allegations, the victim was released from the hospital on Aug. 22, and the CDC warns ethylene glycol ingestion can cause serious or fatal toxicity.
