CAL FIRE plans prescribed burn near Santa Margarita
CAL FIREs San Luis Obispo Unit, in coordination with local agencies, will conduct a prescribed burn starting April 15 as part of its Vegetation Management Program. Around 40 acres of private land will be burned east of Santa Margarita, near Seven Oaks Way and Parkhill Road. Congaree National Park prescribed burn next week - ABC Columbia
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– You may see smoke in the air across the Midlands next week. Officials at Congaree National Park announced today they will conduct a prescribed burn on Monday through Wednesday. A park spokesperson says they plan on burning away underbrush on more than 900 acres, that would serve as fuel in the event of a wildfire.
