The court in Amsterdam has convicted 33-year-old Khalid A. for the fatal stabbing of a 30-year-old woman on February 1, 2025, in Amsterdam-West. The judge ruled that the man acted in a psychotic state and was completely unaccountable. The man has been sentenced to compulsory psychiatric treatment with conditions.
The Amsterdam Court of Appeal increased the sentence to 12 years ' imprisonment and imposed compulsory psychiatric treatment on a 38-year-old man convicted of the murder of a 34-year-old Ukrainian citizen; the defence insisted that the victim had died herself.
