The new military service law states that men between the ages of 17 and 45 need permission from the Bundeswehr if they want to go abroad longer. But why actually up to 45 years? BILD asked the Bundeswehr for permission.
According to the new military service law, men under 45 years of age have to formally unsubscribe from the Bundeswehr if they travel abroad longer. At present, however, this is not necessary, the Bundeswehr and the Minister of Defence calms down. However, a back door remains open.
A planned permit requirement for stays abroad by men caused indignation. "Everyone is allowed to travel, of course," says Boris Pistorius.
The Minister of Defence makes it clear that even for men aged 17 to 45, longer journeys abroad are still possible without permission. He wants to regulate this in the short term.
