Two findings and responsibilities were found by the Comptroller's Office following a special review of the acquisition processes of electric trolleybuses and the agreement between the Metropolitan Public Company of Passenger Transport of Quito (EPPMTPQ), a unit of the Municipality of Quito and the United Nations Office for Project Services provided by Unops.
A new contract of the Municipality of Quito is under the control of the Comptroller to, this time, for the acquisition of 60 units of trolleyb s the grids.
The review analysed the acquisition of electric trolleybuses and the agreement signed with UNOPS under the “Sustainable Mobility” project, during the period from 1 August 2022 to 30 April 2025.
