- Traffic volume at the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels in 2024 exceeded 235,000 vehicles over the holiday, with westbound I-70 busiest Thursday afternoon through Friday morning and eastbound peak traffic Sunday afternoon, July 6.
- Officials urged motorists to plan ahead, remain alert, obey signage, and observe fire risk warnings to ensure safety during the busy six to seven-week summer tourism peak.
