The Bananero and Platanero Cluster of Ecuador signed a Framework Agreement on Technical Cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (MAGP) and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in Ecuador, to strengthen the development of the country's main agro-export chain through joint actions in research, innovation, knowledge transfer, capacity-building and strategic project formulation.
Colombia's designated Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Indalecio Dangond Baquero, held a working meeting with representatives of the banana sector in Magdalena and La Guajira, where a joint agenda focused on strengthening the productivity, profitability and competitiveness of the industry was defined.
